North American Martyrs, 9924 232nd Street SW, Edmonds
A bratwurst dinner with the parish's Bavarian pretzel included, plus a pie and beer contest. Pie judging starts at 5 p.m. and every pie must be in the hall by then; two pies are required per entry and a few competition spots are still open. Free for ages 3 and under, $5 for ages 4 to 15, $10 for ages 16 and up, $30 family maximum, $5 for a beer sampling glass for ages 21 and up. Registration for the pie contest and the volunteer sign-up are in the parish e-news.
